2011 Proprietor’s Cuvée

92 Points, Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

Lovely aromatics push scents of espresso, cassis, truffle and baker’s chocolate right up front. The wine is polished, fine-boned and balanced, with taut cranberry and raspberry fruit. It brings in subtle accents of chalk, earth, rock and lead pencil, building to a firm, beautifully structured finish. — P.G.

Riinu Rammal

Riinu is a charming, intellectually gifted and highly connected Director of Marketing who will be presiding over all marketing efforts at Lauren Ashton Cellars which includes everything from organically growing current engagements as well as developing and creating brand identity and strategies, public relations blitzing, securing wholesale wine channels, pursuing direct to consumer sales and interacting with distribution accounts nationally. She is accountable for overseeing and streamlining the day-to-day winery operations including directing wine club activities, event planning, and social media efforts.

She grew up and started her path to success in Europe’s picturesque Tartu, Estonia which is proudly showcased on each bottle of Lauren Ashton Cellars wine harnessing timeless photographs capturing the elegance and beauty of this small country.

Ms. Rammal graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management focusing on marketing. Additionally, she has managed various projects and held leadership roles in retail banking commerce.

Riinu fashions her mission on forming and fostering relationships with consumers on a more personal level using time-honored and modern communication techniques that impassion brand ambassadors of the winery and tasting studio.

She has an intrinsic passion for food, wine and travel with an emphasis on pairing unique combinations of food with her appreciation for artisanally crafted wines to create unique menu matching fusions. Beginning as a hobby, food and wine pairing took on a more significant role when Kit decided to pursue winemaking professionally.

Relishing in her time spent wakeboarding and kick-boxing she also adores developing friendships with many new people through the winery business while strengthening the lead and expanding presence of Lauren Ashton Cellars on the Woodinville wine trail as the brightest rising star.
