2011 Proprietor’s Cuvée

92 Points, Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

Lovely aromatics push scents of espresso, cassis, truffle and baker’s chocolate right up front. The wine is polished, fine-boned and balanced, with taut cranberry and raspberry fruit. It brings in subtle accents of chalk, earth, rock and lead pencil, building to a firm, beautifully structured finish. — P.G.

Lauren Ashton Cellars

True Washington CharacterTM

Traditional Winemaking Methods & Technologically Advanced Equipment and Techniques

Lauren Ashton Cellars, a winery noted for crafting artisanal wines, implements labor-intensive traditional winemaking methods with new world state-of-the-art-technologically, advanced winemaking equipment and techniques.  Our fine wines show a depth of distinctive flavors, complexity and richness that dances in the glass and on your palate.

At the winery, under the direction of winemaker Kit Singh, balance, precision and quality are of the utmost importance.  Kit and his dedicated team gently shepherd the grapes through the fermentation process to the bottle using a light-handed, non-invasive, and sustainable process allowing each bottle to emulate the essence of the vineyard.

The winery uses all French barrels, using oak as a seasoning, not as a club.  Our barrels are topped monthly with each barrel carefully monitored through the entire maturation process.  Being a dental professional by trade, Kit is ardent about adhering to strict sanitary procedures and sterilization processes throughout the winery.
